NEW!!! Handcrafted by George ebay Store

George opened an new ebay store called "Handcrafted by George".   You can find his store at:  http://stores.ebay.com/handcraftedbygeorge.

He gets a lot of reclaimed wood from a local woodworker.  The pieces of wood are too small to use on wishing wells, ornamental bridges or planters, so he has been using the short pieces to make bird houses, mason bee houses and bird feeders.

He will take pictures tomorrow and Tuesday, so we can post listings of his items on the store.  All of the smaller items can be shipped easily, so we'll sell them in North America, postage free.  If someone wants a larger item, it will be for local pick-up only.

STEDI Meeting in Yelm Today

George attends STEDI meetings once a month.  Every month they're held in a different city.  (Yelm, Bucoda, Tenino, Rainier and Rochester.)  They rotate and attend the morning meetings in restaurants in these local areas.

South Thurston Economic Development Initiative (STEDI) monthly meeting.  Learning about Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) services and resources availble to help the STEDI Communities.  Great presentation by Katrina Van Every.  TRPC has been serving the area for 50 years.  If you haven't been to their website, check it out at:  http://www.trpc.org.

Below is a picture of today's meeting.  George is on the front, right hand side, with Shauna Stewart, Lne Critchfield, Alan Vanell, Joyce Worrell and Linda Patnude Gotovac  at Mr. Doug's Restaurant:

Rainier Round-up Days Photos by Rory Sagner

Rory Sagner took the photos below during Rainier Round-up Days.  The had the booth right next to us with pictures of her photography.  She has some beautiful photos that are on metal.  The depth and color of here photography is amazing.  I particularly liked a photo she took of Manke Road in the snow.  When I asked about it, she said it won several awards.  Stunning.

This is a picture of the front of our booth, with our friends visiting us:

Left to right:  Marie, Wil, Carol, Linda & Teri
